Workforce Development
The long-term vision of the North Port St. Joe Community is one that includes high quality job opportunities for all residents.
We currently have one major workforce training program under way, with funding support from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EcoWorkforce Training Program is an ongoing initiative.

The 6-Week EcoWorkforce Training Program, now in its 3rd cohort of operation, is set to impact the community of northwest Florida. We are offering free, comprehensive training on environmental assessment skills required for residents of the area to secure in-demand, higher wage jobs in environmental fields. The program aims to improve regional residents for the consistent flow of environmental redevelopment work within the area, while building pathways for them to undertake professional roles across Florida and beyond. These jobs continue to be in great demand, given the ongoing environmental shift brought on by hurricane recovery efforts.
